This Skamania Lodge wedding had it ALL! It was definitely a day to remember! Our beautiful Pacific Northwest gave us warm early summer rain, rolling clouds, AND sunshine. Even though the rain poured on us off and on all day, Anne Marie and Chris didn’t seem to mind much at all! Running around in soaking wet shoes holding up the back of her wedding gown while capturing sweet moments is what I live for! Given their love of the outdoors they welcomed it and we even incorporated it into their portrait time!

How We Met

I met Anne Marie + Chris at their friend’s wedding that I was photographing a couple years ago while they were part of the bridal party. I absolutely love this group of people! They are so much fun and easy going. They LOVE to dance and certainly don’t take life too seriously. You can tell how much they love their friends and family by just being around them. I was so honored to be there to capture when these two first said “I Do” in October during their small intimate wedding ceremony. So you can imagine all the excitement when their friends and family could finally be there to share this day with them!

You seriously CANNOT beat that view! I couldn’t decide which was better though. That view of the Columbia River Gorge from Skamania Lodge or the incredible flowers that Anne Marie’s aunt Kristen put together. These giant peonies were the stuff of DREAMS! These bright, vibrant colors were everywhere and some bigger than my face! So much love went into those florals and it just felt like magic. I will never get tired of looking at these images! The gorgeous details, the laughter from the bridesmaids, and all that scenic beauty is something I’ll never forget. What a blessing that I get to take part in such a special occasion and create relationships with such sweet people!
