The Woods on Crooked Finger

Talk about a woodsy fairytale setting! The Woods on Crooked Finger, located in Scotts Mills, Oregon and run by owner Faith Fennimore, is one dreamy spot to tie the knot! I worked alongside Faith during a wedding I shot here late last year. It felt like I stepped right into the wedding scene from Twilight! Appropriately named, The Woods features a huge rustic barn on a beautifully landscaped lawn. It’s surrounded by tall, twinkle-light strung trees that can accommodate an indoor or outdoor reception. Side spaces right off the main lawn creates the perfect space for yard games like cornhole and also features a fire pit to add to this dreamy atmosphere.

The Ceremony Space

The ceremony space totally gives me all the Twilight feels! There are several paths through the woods that lead right to the ceremony. Larger paths are along the side for guests to enter into the mossy covered amphitheater type steps across the land. There is also a smaller pathway that winds through the trees and emerges right onto the center aisle. Imagine being a bride in this gorgeous woodsy setting. You slowly emerging through the trees right onto the aisle where you see your groom waiting for you at the end. I remember seeing Maggie coming down the windy path through the trees like a pure princess!

The Bridal Suite

This venue also features a bridal suite upstairs in the barn, a groom’s shed on the side for separate getting ready spaces, and a bar for the reception. This land is exquisite! You can even sneak off in the golf cart and drive around the surrounding paths for romantic and private bride and groom portraits just like we did! (See last image!) If you love woods that makes you feel like you just stepped into a fairytale, this is the spot!
