What a feat to reach 50 years of marriage and have a legacy of a gorgeous family! This sweet extended family session was incredible! Katie, one of the children of this sweet couple, reached out to me about a family session a few weeks ago. She told me that her parents were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, which is later this summer, but the whole family came into town to be with them. What better way to spend it than with an updated set of family photos! And even better, these were done on their gorgeous property! They have a beautiful orchard surrounding their home and their landscaping took my breath away!

The Incredible Session

This family loves photos and she was even so sweet to walk me through her beautiful home before we started to show me the photos they’ve had done in the past. It had been years since their last ones and so these were extra special! One of their children and her family even came in from Arizona for the occasion! I had such a blast with this family!

Extended family sessions are like regular family session on steroids, haha! We start with the entire group, getting some traditional posed shots, take a few fun ones, and then we break up into the individual families. We can get whichever combinations of the families they would like! We even got some shots with just all the girls and then with all the guys. This family also dressed to impress! They were so great to work with and the kids did phenomenal! One of the best and most organized extended family sessions I’ve had the honor to photograph! I wish these two and the sweet family and life they’ve built together so many more years of laughter and memories.
