Ashley + Chris: A Springtime Engagement at Pittock Mansion

This engagement session at Pittock Mansion will forever hold a special place in my heart. It’s not often that I get the amazing opportunity to capture such an amazing season and wedding for a longtime friend. I’ve known Ashley since I was in kindergarten and she was in the first grade! We went to the same small elementary school and then high school after that. We grew up together! I was so excited when I saw that she was engaged and even more thrilled when she reached out to me. Nothing moved me more than when she told me that she had been following my work since the beginning and that I was her DREAM wedding photographer! Oh my heart! I literally cried!

Ashley and Chris are truly something special. They are so fun to be around and they way they joked and laughed with each other made me feel all the warm fuzzies inside. What made this session even more special is that they brought along her sweet pup, Banner! He had me cracking up behind my camera with all his hilariously cute faces he kept making! I have such a soft spot for all the pups!!

Pittock Mansion was in full bloom during this session and what a perfect setting for these two and the perfect outfits they chose! Ashley’s dress, these flowers, and the way Chris looked at her had me swooning! That golden hour glow lit this place up and it truly felt like a perfect, warm spring day. I absolutely can’t wait for their wedding this summer in Washington!
