It’s not very often that I get to capture precious new additions, but when I do it’s usually during an in-home lifestyle session! This sweet family just welcomed a beautiful baby boy into their family. I absolutely love capturing these precious, natural moments at home with them and their adoring family. This lifestyle session in Portland warmed my heart so much! They were so sweet and fun to work with!

Their beautiful little girl was so sweet giving her baby brother kisses and having fun twirling in her dress and jumping on the bed! If you’re worried about your littles behaving or cooperating during a session here a just a few quick tips I’d like to share to make it more fun!

Tips for your kids!

• Schedule the session after naptime. They are more likely to be in a better mood if they’ve napped.

• Make sure they’ve eaten something. Nothing turns a session more stressful faster than a hangry toddler!

• Have extra snacks or treats handy for bribing! This is a moment where bribing in exchange for a few great photos is ok!

• Let them be themselves! It’s ok to not have every photo perfect where everyone is smiling at the camera. Sometimes the best ones come out of letting go and letting them play, explore, and be themselves. I’ll have my camera in hand and I’ll be snapping all the way through to get some great shots!

Embrace and love your family exactly how you are! I love capturing sweet families naturally and bring out their true personalities! This Portland family did amazing and honestly, how cute are they?! Congratulations Pollman family on your sweet baby boy.
