Why you should love your photographer...

On your wedding day you will be spending about 85-90% of your entire day with your photographer by your side. They will be guiding you through every step of the day! You want someone there you trust, who is organized, and who you can have fun with!

When you love your photographer and get along with them really well you can let your guard down around them. You can crack silly jokes and laugh and have fun! In doing so, you end up with not only amazing and genuine photos, but you'll have an even better experience!

When you've taken the time to get to know the person photographing you, they will know and understand your specific needs and wants. They will know the best way to capture you and bring out your best smiles, laughs, and natural emotions. Plus who doesn't love making new friends?!

Holly + Casey: An Engagement at Willamette Mission Park

August 14, 2023

The golden days of late summer cast their warm glow over the Pacific Northwest. Willamette Mission State Park was the perfect place for Holly and Casey’s engagement session! Nestled in the heart of Oregon, this enchanting setting became the backdrop for a love story destined to unfold.

Willamette Mission Park

Willamette Mission State Park has become a long time favorite of mine for engagement sessions, family portraits, and even senior sessions. It’s absolutely gorgeous in the spring, summer, or fall. This time of year I just love when the grass of the fields grows tall and soft and blows gently in the breeze. This completely set the stage for an intimate and romantic photo session with Holly and Casey!

A Sweet Couple

Holly and Casey are such a sweet couple, whose love story is as timeless as the park’s rich history. As they embark on their journey towards marriage, Willamette Mission State Park becomes the perfect setting to reflect the depth of their connection. The warm, soft sunlight filtered through the leaves and cast a dreamy glow on everything it touched. These two took full advantage of this enchanting light, and allowed it to highlight their love in every frame. The stolen glances, shared laughter, and tender moments that define their unique bond just melted me.

As the sun began to dip below the horizon it cast a warm, orange glow across the park. Willamette Mission State Park, with its rich history and natural charm, became the silent witness to a love story that will continue to bloom and flourish through the changing seasons of life. I can’t wait to capture their wedding day next summer!
