The Best of the Willamette Valley!

For the past few years I’ve been blessed to be nominated for the best photographer in the Best of the Willamette Valley contest. The first year I won 3rd place. The second and third years I won 2nd place. I felt like this could be my year to hit that first place spot. Pouring everything I had into my business I felt like I gave it my all.

I’ll always remember this one incredibly sweet moment that happened on a wedding day. I had a mother of a bride tell me she voted for me every single day and wondered if I had heard the results yet! There were more photographers entered this year than I had ever seen in the past and I thought there wasn’t any way I was going to win. But as long as I got to keep doing what I love and working with amazing people, I win in my own way. Then I got the phone call. I was so excited I couldn’t hold back my tears! I won first place! It was a moment in which all I could think about was my momma. How much I wanted to call and tell her. How proud I wondered she would be. And how I did this for her, for myself too but it was also for her.
