You know how sometimes you’ll meet someone and you just instantly connect? Like there’s just something about them that makes you wonder why life hadn’t bought your paths together a long time ago and you could quickly see yourself becoming lifelong friends? This Detroit Lake engagement session was for friends just like that. One of the amazing perks of my job is getting the chance to work with some super sweet people that then become real life friends.
How We Met
I first met Sam and Maggie through their maternity session with their sweet little boy, Noah. The joy of watching him grow into a playful one-year-old running around during their family session last fall was amazing! I just absolutely love their little family and we became fast friends. So you can image how thrilled I was when they reached out to let me know they are ENGAGED. They asked me to photograph their engagement session and wedding and I was so honored to say yes! I am so truly blessed to watch their love and family grow. I get to be there to capture those incredibly special moments in their life and I am so humbled by that.
An Epic Location
So, of course, we needed and EPIC location for these cuties. What better place than the GORGEOUS rolling hill landscape that is Detroit Lake?? We also found this unbelievably breathtaking spot tucked away along the babbling riverside. The lighting was PURE MAGIC! And, of course, we absolutely had to include the cutest little model into the mix as well! Be sure to scroll to the end to see their adorable photos featuring sweet little Noah!
Congrats Sam and Maggie! I wish you so many adventures in life together and I could not be more thrilled for you two!
