Ohhh this session has my heart!!! This is one of my absolute favorite times of the year with one of my favorite people! This gorgeous maternity session at Capitol Park was for my sweet sister in love, Rachel. She’s carrying my new precious baby niece, River. I am so obsessed with her name they chose! I was drawn to look up the meaning of her name and found this. A river is a place of gathering, of assembling in cheerfulness and prosperity. Psalm 46, below, is prophetic. God has a city with a holy place, His headquarters, we’ll see its name, and this river shall contribute to the spiritual quality of gladness to the welfare of its inhabitants. Psalms 46:44. How amazing is that?!

The Session

This session was so much fun and Rachel couldn’t have looked more stunning! This was the perfect setting to capture this special time. The cherry blossoms at Capitol Park were fully in bloom and EVERYWHERE! I only wish they stuck around longer but maybe that’s why shooting in them is so much more special. Capitol Park is breathtaking this time of year but Rachel was even more beautiful! We had so much fun laughing and hanging out together. This was such a fun afternoon!

Rachel is one of my favorite people. She inspires me in more ways than she knows. She’s so strong and determined. She’s already an incredible mother to her son, Jaymin, and an amazing wife. She works so hard for her family and always puts their needs above everything else. I just adore Rachel and I can’t wait to meet my sweet baby niece!!
