There’s nothing I love more than gorgeous scenery and a stunning couple in love in front of my camera! The Columbia River Gorge makes for such a breathtaking and romantic setting for magic to happen! These two killed it during their session. But what’s even better is when they inform me that he isn’t a fan of being in front of the camera. I smile and ensure them to trust me and I will lead and guide them through the whole session. It is always awkward in the first few minutes, even for me! When I’m in front of the camera I feel it, too. So you aren’t alone. But, when you’re working with the right person that feeling should only last the first few minutes! The awkwardness should easily melt away and you become more comfortable and confident. Then the fun happens!
The best compliment I could ever receive on a groom’s end is that they weren’t excited for this or don’t like their photo being taken. But then by the end they tell me that it wasn’t bad at all and that they even had fun! BEST. COMPLIMENT. EVER! That’s exactly what happened with Kendall and Devan. He wasn’t a super huge fan of taking photos or being the center of attention. But after a few minutes we were all chatting and laughing. I could see them relaxing and enjoying themselves. He did FANTASTIC and so of course I had to tell him so. I praised them both during the session, which helped their confidence so much. I wanted them to feel what I could see behind my camera. By the end, he said he actually had FUN! WIN!
These two were adorable and hilarious together as we ran around my favorite Columbia River Gorge location! They took all my engagement session style guide tips into consideration and brought three outfit changes. Kendall had her ring cleaned and polished knowing I love getting those gorgeous close up ring shots. I loved spending this time getting to know them and can’t wait for their wedding day next year!
