Why you should love your photographer...

On your wedding day you will be spending about 85-90% of your entire day with your photographer by your side. They will be guiding you through every step of the day! You want someone there you trust, who is organized, and who you can have fun with!

When you love your photographer and get along with them really well you can let your guard down around them. You can crack silly jokes and laugh and have fun! In doing so, you end up with not only amazing and genuine photos, but you'll have an even better experience!

When you've taken the time to get to know the person photographing you, they will know and understand your specific needs and wants. They will know the best way to capture you and bring out your best smiles, laughs, and natural emotions. Plus who doesn't love making new friends?!

Connor + Anthony: A Cloudy Engagement Session at Trillium Lake

November 4, 2022

When one of Connor’s favorite things listed in her initial questionnaire was wine and her dog, I knew we were going to get along great!! And this incredible engagement session for them at Trillium Lake confirmed that. This location is absolutely stunning, even if the clouds covered the mountain most of the time. The best time of day for this place to get the best photos is sunrise and these two didn’t bat an eye at meeting up at 6:30 in the morning for it!

Connor and Anthony were absolutely amazing and so fun to hang out with. They brought along some special things to incorporate into their session and I was here for it!! Their sweet pup, Jordy, was included in a portion of the session and it was sooo sweet! All that pup wanted to do was jump in the water.

It was so funny to me just how much I have in common with this sweet couple. We found out that one of the groomsmen is a best friend of my husband. So both my Anthony and Connor’s Anthony have a mutual friend, who is also named Tony (Anthony). Haha! They also brought along champagne to pop open and glasses! If you’ve thought about bringing along a bottle to pop open during your engagement session, this is your sign! DO IT! It was amazing and so much fun! Anthony is also big into fishing and he even made, yes MADE, a special fishing rod just for Connor. So, of course, we had to get some fishing photos by the water at Trillium Lake.

Their Proposal Story

Their proposal story is one of the sweetest things! Anthony took Connor to her favorite winery. As they were poured a taste of some bubbles, their private tasting cabin was being prepared. They were escorted down the hill to the cabin once it was ready. As they walked in there was a fresh bouquet of flowers from their garden, a charcuterie board, all of their wine glasses, and a small note that said “Will you marry me?” Anthony then got down on one knee, said he forgot the whole speech he had planned and practiced but that he loved her and asked her to marry him. It totally sounds like something I’ve seen in a movie!

These two are getting married at one of my FAVORITE venues, Abbey Road Farm next October and I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the day! It will be epic!
