Why you should love your photographer...

On your wedding day you will be spending about 85-90% of your entire day with your photographer by your side. They will be guiding you through every step of the day! You want someone there you trust, who is organized, and who you can have fun with!

When you love your photographer and get along with them really well you can let your guard down around them. You can crack silly jokes and laugh and have fun! In doing so, you end up with not only amazing and genuine photos, but you'll have an even better experience!

When you've taken the time to get to know the person photographing you, they will know and understand your specific needs and wants. They will know the best way to capture you and bring out your best smiles, laughs, and natural emotions. Plus who doesn't love making new friends?!

Kristen + Garrett: A Wedding in Carlton

August 12, 2020

When you grow up in a gorgeous woodsy, creek-lined, adventure-having wonderland, why wouldn’t you spend the happiest day of your life there?! This incredible setting along the creek just so happens to sit right behind the house of the bride’s father, a backyard unlike any other. This created the PERFECT backdrop for Kristen and Garrett’s wedding in Carlton to say their vows in front of their family and friends.

I met Kristen and Garrett as guests at another wedding that I was photographing last year. They reached out to me when it was their turn and I was so blessed and honored to be the one to capture their special day as well! And what a day this was!

From the joyous tears during one of the most precious first looks I’ve ever witnessed to the tears and laughs that flowed though their vows. The bright pop of color from the wildflower bouquets to the super cute cowboy boots all the girls wore. The tiki torches that lined the dance area and all the twinkle lights that set the mood. Nature even played a song during their ceremony with the babbling creek that flowed right under the little bridge where they stood. Every bit of this wedding in Carlton was simply rustic, country chic, and amazing! Above it all, you could just feel that this sweet couple has a love that will last a lifetime!
