Why you should love your photographer...

On your wedding day you will be spending about 85-90% of your entire day with your photographer by your side. They will be guiding you through every step of the day! You want someone there you trust, who is organized, and who you can have fun with!

When you love your photographer and get along with them really well you can let your guard down around them. You can crack silly jokes and laugh and have fun! In doing so, you end up with not only amazing and genuine photos, but you'll have an even better experience!

When you've taken the time to get to know the person photographing you, they will know and understand your specific needs and wants. They will know the best way to capture you and bring out your best smiles, laughs, and natural emotions. Plus who doesn't love making new friends?!

The Cobb-Young Family at Champoeg State Park

February 4, 2021

As much as I love to say that I love all my clients, I have a special soft spot for this family. This is my baby sister, Jamie. She is my best friend and one of my favorite people in the whole world. So I was over the moon THRILLED when she asked me to shoot their first ever family session at Champoeg State Park!

Jamie had recently lost over 70 pounds this year on the Keto diet! She was looking fabulous and she never felt more confident. Jamie wanted to show it off while capturing some precious, long overdue moments with her babies. Being the outdoorsy people that they are, Champoeg State Park was the perfect place to do their session! They coordinated their outfits so well and they went perfectly with this background! I love the dark reds and blush tones against the greens.

These kids and this family holds so much of my heart. One of my favorite things I think of when I think of my sissy is our yearly birthday competitions. Our birthdays are only 10 days apart in December. Every year we have this secret contest to see who can make the other person cry more! We always do something extremely personal and sentimental for each other. Often our gifts are homemade or, in this last case, taken years to track down. I could not imagine my life without my sissy! I was so blessed and filled with so much joy during this session at Champoeg State Park!
