Why you should love your photographer...

On your wedding day you will be spending about 85-90% of your entire day with your photographer by your side. They will be guiding you through every step of the day! You want someone there you trust, who is organized, and who you can have fun with!

When you love your photographer and get along with them really well you can let your guard down around them. You can crack silly jokes and laugh and have fun! In doing so, you end up with not only amazing and genuine photos, but you'll have an even better experience!

When you've taken the time to get to know the person photographing you, they will know and understand your specific needs and wants. They will know the best way to capture you and bring out your best smiles, laughs, and natural emotions. Plus who doesn't love making new friends?!

Kayla + Wesley: A Sublimity Engagement Session

July 23, 2019

Do you ever just get that feeling like you want to jump in the car and drive? You don’t even care where you’re going as long as it’s outside, away from the city, and BEAUTIFUL?? Ohhh man did I get to do just that with these two amazingly sweet humans at their Sublimity engagement session! I honestly had no idea where we were going for their engagement session this gorgeously warm and sunny afternoon. I just hopped in the car and followed along for the ride!

Wheat Fields and Rolling Hills

They told me they found this amazing wheat field with rolling hills in the background and I was all for it! And let me tell you, this location did not disappoint! Kayla and Wesley were so unbelievably cute and cuddly with each other, noting that their wedding day is just around the corner. The way he looks at her and the way he makes her smile just gave me allll the feels!

As stunning as this field is, I wanted to give them a little more variety with this Sublimity session. I began to look around the area and spotted a gorgeously lit area just across the road. Interestingly, it was just a small tall grass patch right next to the ditch along the vacant, quiet road, springing with wildflowers. I asked them to trust me with this spot as this light was GLOWING ya’ll. All I can say is I am sooo thankful for my incredible couples who trust me so much to cross a road, hop over a ditch and play in the weeds! Kayla you are simply stunning, girl!

I CANNOT WAIT for their rustic country chic wedding coming in September!
