One of my FAVORITE things about working with a new bride and groom is the precious time we get to know each other! What better way than to hang out and capture some gorgeous images together?! Engagement sessions are amazing and beneficial for so many reasons. These top engagement session moments of 2021 were incredible! But they are also so invaluable to a wedding day!

Highlights of 2021

We traveled from along the breezy and breathtaking Columbia River Gorge to Cannon Beach and so many places in between. Living in Oregon offers so many different and beautiful backdrops for an engagement session! I love that we have the mountains, the Gorge, the beach, and desert all within driving distance! It’s often hard to narrow it down and choose. One of the favorite locations this past year was definitely the Gorge and the ever-blooming gardens surrounding Pittock Mansion in Portland. No matter what time of year it was, these two locations never disappointed!

Benefits of Engagement Sessions

I will always encourage an engagement session with my couples before their wedding day. There are so many more benefits other than enjoying breathtaking scenery. This special time is not only important for you as a couple to celebrate, but for us to get to know each other. I fully believe that getting to know each other and building a relationship is critical to a great wedding photography experience! The engagement session is like a practice run for the big day! You get to see how I handle lighting and posing and how the online gallery works once you receive your images. I get to see how you two interact and what poses highlight you the best. When the wedding day comes you will fly right through your portrait time like pros without any awkwardness because its like you have a friend there with you!
