Why you should love your photographer...

On your wedding day you will be spending about 85-90% of your entire day with your photographer by your side. They will be guiding you through every step of the day! You want someone there you trust, who is organized, and who you can have fun with!

When you love your photographer and get along with them really well you can let your guard down around them. You can crack silly jokes and laugh and have fun! In doing so, you end up with not only amazing and genuine photos, but you'll have an even better experience!

When you've taken the time to get to know the person photographing you, they will know and understand your specific needs and wants. They will know the best way to capture you and bring out your best smiles, laughs, and natural emotions. Plus who doesn't love making new friends?!

Kellie + Craig: A Summer Wedding at Postlewait’s

August 22, 2022

This summer wedding at Postlewait’s will always have my heart! Filled with dahlia’s, sunshine, and color Kellie and Craig’s day held so much JOY! Postlewait’s Country Weddings venue in Canby laid such a gorgeous setting for these two to share in one of the happiest days of their lives. Doned with handfuls of chandeliers, flower-lined pathways, and romantic bridges, this venue is absolutely stunning! It was PERFECT for these two.

The Wedding Day

This wedding was especially special because Kellie is a super sweet friend of mine. We had been talking about me photographing her wedding since before they were officially engaged! These two endured a long distance relationship while finishing up school. When I found out that they were engaged, of course I was absolutely thrilled for them! I couldn’t wait to start talking about their wedding vision!

Not only was this wedding incredibly special, but Kellie’s sister Katie was also engaged and they planned to have their weddings in the same year. I was SO blessed and honored that they BOTH wanted me as their wedding photographer! Katie had her wedding this year in May and they decided to share their veil! It was such a sweet moment to capture each of them putting the veil on each other on each of their wedding days! I loved sharing in each of their special days, which meant I got to know their family so well!

Favorite Moments!

They have such a welcoming and loving family! Kellie’s dad even sent me home with some of her mom’s homemade jam that she made as gifts for all of their guests! And oh my goodness it was AMAZING! There’s nothing better than homemade jam. Thanks mom!! One of my favorite moments of this day though was a moment during the ceremony. They decided not to have a first look with each other. Craig wanted to wait and see Kellie for the first time during the ceremony. As Kellie was escorted down the aisle by both of her parents, Craig had his back turned until she was standing by him. Then he turned to see her while she was right in front of him. It was as if they did a first look right there at the alter! It was SO special and unique!

I will forever remember this wedding day and have SO much love for this couple and their sweet families! Live it up in Hawaii you two! You so deserve it and all the happiness in the world! So much love to you!
