Why you should love your photographer...

On your wedding day you will be spending about 85-90% of your entire day with your photographer by your side. They will be guiding you through every step of the day! You want someone there you trust, who is organized, and who you can have fun with!

When you love your photographer and get along with them really well you can let your guard down around them. You can crack silly jokes and laugh and have fun! In doing so, you end up with not only amazing and genuine photos, but you'll have an even better experience!

When you've taken the time to get to know the person photographing you, they will know and understand your specific needs and wants. They will know the best way to capture you and bring out your best smiles, laughs, and natural emotions. Plus who doesn't love making new friends?!

Alexa + Caelan : A Rainy Vintage Wedding at Ainsworth House and Gardens

June 17, 2022

What. A. Day! This vintage themed wedding at the historical Ainsworth House and Gardens in Oregon City was so elegant. Depsite the pouring rain, it was one of the most romantic and breathtaking wedding days! I absolutely LOVED how Alexa and Caelan embraced the rain and allowed it to be part of this memorable day. They even chose to still have their ceremony outside under the epic giant tree. This lush garden escape, tucked away right in the heart of Oregon City, felt like you were transported back through time. I love everything about this venue! This gorgeous historical home has such character.

Vintage Elegance at Ainsworth House and Gardens

This couple was after my own heart with their embrace of the vintage theme. I have always felt like I had an old soul and have been drawn to the old-time feel of historical places and all the little details they hold. I love to picture what life was like back then. Alexa is the same way and it fit her so well! With her stunning, fitted lace gown and lace-edged cathedral length veil. Everything from her mother’s earrings to her new mother-in-law’s necklace shouted vintage elegance.

Getting to know both of their sweet families during this day was such a highlight. The tender and emotional father-daughter first look and exchange of gifts Alexa had for her parents was enough to make you cry! “Dame tu manito” – “Give me your hand” was a special saying between Alexa and her dad. He said it to her during their first look and was part of her gift to him. Capturing the sweet way Caelan’s mom danced with him and cried on his chest during their special dance definitely had me tearing up behind my camera.

A Memorable Day!

This day at Ainsworth House and Gardens was so memorable and priceless! I have never been so soaking wet during a wedding day and LOVED it! Laughing and running around in the rain was such a BLAST! I’ve never had my heart strings tugged so much and related so well to this vintage vibe. Every single moment was INCREDIBLE and it was such an honor to simply be part of it! Live it up in Italy, Alexa and Caelan! You deserve every happiness. It has been such a joy to get to know you over your engagement. Your joy and love is infectious and I just love you both!
