Oh this sweet couple has my heart! I can’t tell you how much this maternity session at Willamette Mission State Park hit me right in the feelers! Not just because this park gave us such a gorgeous backdrop to highlight their expecting little one. Not because Emily glowed like the sun and their joy radiated everything around them. But because I have one of the best jobs in the world! I get to capture precious moments and watch a family grow right in front of my eyes.

How We Met

I have known this couple for a few years now, Jon being the son of our pastors from our church. I was blessed enough to be the photographer they chose for their wedding a couple years ago. We had a blast during their fall engagement session. God chose these two for each other and you can literally see it. They are absolutely perfect for each other and love each other so. Their wedding was one I will never forget. The ceremony was absolutely incredible. It was filled with prayer, kind words from family, tears and emotion. I was so wrapped up in it that it actually shifted my spiritual life and walk with God. These two are such an amazing example of Jesus’s love.

So you can imagine how over the moon I was when they reached out to me to let me know they were expecting their first baby! They wanted me to capture this beautiful time in their lives. I actually tear up when I think about seeing them together during their engagement to this moment now. The same love and even more joy about welcoming their baby boy into the world. This maternity session at Willamette Mission State Park is one that I will cherish and I know they will too. I can’t wait to meet and snuggle this sweet baby!
