Why you should love your photographer...

On your wedding day you will be spending about 85-90% of your entire day with your photographer by your side. They will be guiding you through every step of the day! You want someone there you trust, who is organized, and who you can have fun with!

When you love your photographer and get along with them really well you can let your guard down around them. You can crack silly jokes and laugh and have fun! In doing so, you end up with not only amazing and genuine photos, but you'll have an even better experience!

When you've taken the time to get to know the person photographing you, they will know and understand your specific needs and wants. They will know the best way to capture you and bring out your best smiles, laughs, and natural emotions. Plus who doesn't love making new friends?!

Taylor + Clayton: A Mansion Engagement Session

August 24, 2021

These two are the CUTEST! I had the best time with Taylor and Clayton at this mansion engagement session. The blush pink of her dress in their first outfit complimented the background around them so well! It was so invaluable the time we spent together. They are so much fun and you can tell how much they love to laugh and play around with each other!

We roamed all over this beautiful location that sits atop a huge hill looking over Portland. There’s a lovely view of Mt Hood in the distance. I love couples that not only love the beautiful, romantic poses but also love to have fun! These two definitely used their session to the fullest! We laughed through piggyback rides and loving sneak attacks. Tickling, giggling, and strolling along side by side was so much fun to capture!

This is everything I feel that engagement sessions should be. A gorgeous dressy outfit with beautiful romantic poses that highlight who the couple is together. Then a cute though more casual outfit where we get to let loose and have some fun!! We play games, let the natural laughter out, and I get to find out who they really are as a couple. This helps not only give the couple so many amazing images for their engagement session, but it will make a huge difference on their wedding day! I can capture the real them. It doesn’t have to take a huge portion of time to do it thanks to our day of super fun practice!
