Why you should love your photographer...

On your wedding day you will be spending about 85-90% of your entire day with your photographer by your side. They will be guiding you through every step of the day! You want someone there you trust, who is organized, and who you can have fun with!

When you love your photographer and get along with them really well you can let your guard down around them. You can crack silly jokes and laugh and have fun! In doing so, you end up with not only amazing and genuine photos, but you'll have an even better experience!

When you've taken the time to get to know the person photographing you, they will know and understand your specific needs and wants. They will know the best way to capture you and bring out your best smiles, laughs, and natural emotions. Plus who doesn't love making new friends?!

Korina + Cody: A Late Summer Wedding in St Paul

September 16, 2024

This was truly an extra special day with Korina and Cody in St Paul! I’ve known Korina for years and she’s a super sweet friend of mine but that was just one small thing that made this day special to capture. Korina and Cody are high school sweethearts and I’ve had the honor of capturing them together years ago. Now to be part of this day was incredible. They were married in the St Paul Catholic church literally walking steps between both of their parents’ homes. They got ready separately in their parents’ homes, Korina at Cody’s parents’ house and Cody at Korina’s parents’ house. Then we walked over to the church to meet for some very sweet first looks.

We didn’t have just one first look, but three! Emotions were high as Korina shared a special moment first with her brother, then her dad, and then with Cody. Tears flowed from all of them as they saw her for the first time in her dress. It even got me going! The Catholic church in St Paul had my jaw dropping. It was so gorgeous inside and a perfect setting as they exchanged vows and rings.

A Special Surprise!

They had their gorgeous reception a few minutes away on private property that belonged to friends of the family. It was stunning! But the absolute BEST part was the surprise wedding crashers during the reception! A friend brought in their dancing horses as a gift for Korina and Cody to ride during their sunset portraits! How cool is that?! Though there were so many moments that I loved, it was so difficult to pick a favorite. I loved seeing how close all their families are. The tears that flowed during Korina’s speech as she decided not to throw her bouquet, but instead dedicate it to her mom. Korina’s dad and Cody’s mom were so sweet during their dances with their kiddos. It was absolutely beautiful! I wish these two the absolute best and I’m so excited for them and their future together!
