There is nothing better than a beach session! Except maybe a birthday session on the beach with a sweet little one! I have had the privilege of photographing little miss Emma every year since she was 6 months old! It’s so hard to believe she’s now 6 YEARS old! I absolutely love that she has a different theme picked out each year. This year was mermaid so of course we had to go to the beach!

I photographed her while she moved into all her poses, which she’s gotten very well at doing! Her mom and I could already see her senior portrait session right before our eyes! Time is a cruel mistress but I also love that I get to watch her grow up. Each year she gets more and more beautiful. But don’t let that beauty fool you! She definitely has a sassy side! One that I think might take her far in life.

Pacific City was the perfect spot for Emma’s mermaid birthday session! The huge tan colored rocks that we were able to climb up and sit on provided the perfect setting. Haystack rock in the background was such a bonus! Of all the years of photoshoots I think I can safely say this one was the most fun! Chasing her around with my camera while we let her run around the shore splashing in the shallow waves was a blast! Happy birthday sweet girl! This beach session with you was so much fun!
