Why you should love your photographer...

On your wedding day you will be spending about 85-90% of your entire day with your photographer by your side. They will be guiding you through every step of the day! You want someone there you trust, who is organized, and who you can have fun with!

When you love your photographer and get along with them really well you can let your guard down around them. You can crack silly jokes and laugh and have fun! In doing so, you end up with not only amazing and genuine photos, but you'll have an even better experience!

When you've taken the time to get to know the person photographing you, they will know and understand your specific needs and wants. They will know the best way to capture you and bring out your best smiles, laughs, and natural emotions. Plus who doesn't love making new friends?!

Samantha + Austin: A Summer Backyard Wedding in Corvallis

August 3, 2024

When it comes to weddings, there’s something incredibly special about tying the knot in a place that holds so many cherished memories. For Samantha and Austin, that place was Samantha’s parents’ house, where her dad had put in countless hours of hard work to make their big day nothing short of perfect for their wedding in Corvallis.

A Labor of Love

Samantha’s dad, a true artist with a green thumb, took on the monumental task of landscaping the entire property. He transformed it into a picturesque haven, complete with vibrant flower beds, manicured lawns, and cozy nooks perfect for intimate conversations. But he didn’t stop there. Understanding how important this day was for his daughter, he even built a brand new fence and a charming gate, symbolizing a new beginning for Samantha and Austin. It was simply breathtaking!

A Coffee Cart!

One of my favorite things at this Corvallis wedding was a super cute coffee cart from Good Grounds Coffee Company that was brought in during the cocktail hour. This was a sweet nod to their first date, which took place in a quaint coffee shop. How freaking cute is that?! There were so many special touches like that throughout their day. All the way down the the sentimental symbol of butterflies from Samantha’s grandma that she held close to her on a butterfly ring. It was like she was there with her throughout the day.

Wildflowers filled the area, adding a whimsical and romantic touch to this backyard wedding in Corvallis. The colorful blooms created a vibrant and joyful atmosphere, perfectly reflecting Samantha and Austin’s personalities. From the ceremony space to the table centerpieces, the wildflowers tied everything together beautifully.

A Dance to Remember

One of the most touching moments was the couple’s first dance. Samantha and Austin had recorded heartfelt messages for each other, which played as a voice-over during their dance!! Their words of love and commitment echoed through the night, leaving not a dry eye in the crowd. I just loved listening to them reminisce over their relationship and their hopes for their future! I wish these two the absolute very best and LOVED capturing this day for them!
