Why you should love your photographer...

On your wedding day you will be spending about 85-90% of your entire day with your photographer by your side. They will be guiding you through every step of the day! You want someone there you trust, who is organized, and who you can have fun with!

When you love your photographer and get along with them really well you can let your guard down around them. You can crack silly jokes and laugh and have fun! In doing so, you end up with not only amazing and genuine photos, but you'll have an even better experience!

When you've taken the time to get to know the person photographing you, they will know and understand your specific needs and wants. They will know the best way to capture you and bring out your best smiles, laughs, and natural emotions. Plus who doesn't love making new friends?!

Brianna + Phil: A Spring Wedding at The Water Oasis

May 22, 2024

Springtime in Oregon is a season of renewal and breathtaking beauty. This spring wedding at The Water Oasis was the perfect backdrop for these two precious people. The Water Oasis in Newberg, Oregon, with its serene ponds, lush gardens, and sweeping views of the surrounding countryside, set the stage for an incredibly epic and gorgeous wedding. Almost as equally gorgeous as Brianna and Phil!

The Water Oasis is such a gem! It’s nestled in the heart of wine country, offering an idyllic escape from the everyday. Guests were greeted by the fragrance of blooming flowers and the gentle sound of water cascading through the property. The pond was even filled with super cute bullfrogs! I was also obsessed with Brianna’s choice of colors and her mother-in-law, Michelle, showcased her talents with all of the florals!

A Legacy of Love

But this wedding was more than just a beautiful ceremony in a stunning location. Brianna and Phil couldn’t have been any more amazing to work with! They are SO sweet, as are their family and friends. One of the most touching moments of the day was a gift the bride received from her mother. A blanket made by her late grandmother. This blanket was no ordinary gift. Crafted with love and care, it was a piece of family history. This was a tangible connection to a woman whose spirit and strength were very much present on this special day.

When Brianna’s mother presented her with this treasured heirloom, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. She shared how she had kept the blanket safe all these years, waiting for this moment. The blanket symbolized warmth, comfort, and the enduring bond between the women of their family.

A Celebration to Remember

The reception that followed was a joyous celebration filled with laughter, music, and dancing. Tables were adorned with wildflowers, and the air was filled with the scent of fresh blooms and delicious food. Guests toasted the newlyweds, sharing stories and memories that highlighted the couple’s journey and the love that had brought them to this day.

The Perfect Ending at The Water Oasis

This spring wedding at the Water Oasis in Newberg, Oregon, was more than just an event. It was the PERFECT day for Brianna and Phil and a beautiful beginning to their new life together. Not to mention an incredible way to kick off my 2024 wedding season!
