Why you should love your photographer...

On your wedding day you will be spending about 85-90% of your entire day with your photographer by your side. They will be guiding you through every step of the day! You want someone there you trust, who is organized, and who you can have fun with!

When you love your photographer and get along with them really well you can let your guard down around them. You can crack silly jokes and laugh and have fun! In doing so, you end up with not only amazing and genuine photos, but you'll have an even better experience!

When you've taken the time to get to know the person photographing you, they will know and understand your specific needs and wants. They will know the best way to capture you and bring out your best smiles, laughs, and natural emotions. Plus who doesn't love making new friends?!

Best Ceremony and Reception Details of 2021

March 29, 2022

Elegant table settings. Colorful and vibrant floral centerpieces. Open outdoor scenery. Beautifully decorated indoor ballrooms and reception spaces. Candles, lanterns, greenery. Linens and twinkle lights. Deep contrasting colors or creams and blue tones. Ceremony and reception details can vary so much but they are all equally as beautiful and fun to photograph!

Last year I had the privilege of photographing so many stunning ceremonies and receptions. Some were smaller and intimate while others were larger gatherings. There were elevated and elegant ones, rustic and chic ones, and there was even a boho style. One reception even had tiny little jars of homemade jam the bride’s grandmother made as favors for each table setting! It was such a beautiful, personal touch that everyone loved!

Ceremony and Reception Visions

I absolutely love all of the different themes, colors, and looks a wedding can take on. For all my brides that have to choose and narrow down the style, theme, and colors of their wedding day, I feel for them. I am so in love with so many different ones that if I was a bride today I would have such a hard time choosing! Blush tones are very popular and they add softness. The big, bright pinks of peonies in the early summer mixed with whites and greens adds pop. Ceremony arches are another area that you can be super creative! They can take on any shape! We saw so many different, florally decorated arches. From triangle to a handmade octagonal shape a bride’s dad made himself! My brides and grooms are so creative in their wedding visions! I just can’t wait to see what this upcoming season has in store and what new trends are on the rise.
