Ok this is by far one of my favorite locations for an engagement session, especially in the Spring!! If you love fairytales, whimsy, and romance this session is packed with it ALL!! Pittock Mansion in Portland is absolutely gorgeous and has an incredible view of the city! The colors of all the different plants and flowers that surround the grounds was stunning! The soft pink from the cherry blossom trees and the bright reds, pinks, and purples of the rhododendron bushes. But this GORGEOUS couple is what truly made this session!

How We Met

I first received an email from Michelle’s dad who was helping her search for the perfect wedding photographer for their big day. He was so nice to chat with and you could tell how much he loves his daughter and wants to help make this the most special day of her life. I couldn’t wait to connect with her! After chatting with her I knew they were a perfect Joni Loraine couple! They expressed how much they want this day to be all about fun and family. They want to soak in all the joy that this day is about and truly celebrate with the ones they love. Michelle mentioned how she wants whoever they hired to join right in with them. To hang out with them and feel like a friend. I was so excited when I heard that as that is what I always strive to be! I always want my couples to feel like they have a friend right alongside them during their wedding day. Someone to cheer them on, look out for them, and capture the all of the best moments!

The Session

Michelle and Chris look like they belong in a magazine! You can see the love they have for each other and excitement of their upcoming wedding just by looking at them. They were so sweet they way they giggled and played together. This session at Pittock Mansion was so whimsical and romantic! I felt like I was in a fairytale walking around the grounds with these two. I loved getting to know Michelle and Chris. They are so fun and laid back. It felt like I’d known them forever! We share a love of beautiful scenery, vineyards, and fur babies! I can’t wait for their gorgeous wedding day at Cubanisimo Vineyard!
