Why you should love your photographer...

On your wedding day you will be spending about 85-90% of your entire day with your photographer by your side. They will be guiding you through every step of the day! You want someone there you trust, who is organized, and who you can have fun with!

When you love your photographer and get along with them really well you can let your guard down around them. You can crack silly jokes and laugh and have fun! In doing so, you end up with not only amazing and genuine photos, but you'll have an even better experience!

When you've taken the time to get to know the person photographing you, they will know and understand your specific needs and wants. They will know the best way to capture you and bring out your best smiles, laughs, and natural emotions. Plus who doesn't love making new friends?!

Fall Cooking!

December 2, 2022

Oh man do I have a soft spot for cooking and baking! Especially when it’s fall cooking and baking! Ever since I was little and helped my granny in the kitchen I’ve developed a passion for it. I remember sitting on the kitchen floor as a little thing licking the bowl. Then I moved up to helping and then soon taking over and creating things myself. We watched a ton of cooking shows together. I’m a HUGE Food Network fan. It brings me so comfort to have that on, especially during the colder months.

Fall is My Favorite!

With my crazy busy schedule during the spring and summer months at the height of wedding season I don’t get to cook as much. Plus no one likes to turn on their oven when it’s 90 degrees outside. We usually do a lot of grilling outside during that time. But when fall hits, oh it’s my favorite time of year! The apples are at the height of the season and I always get the baking bug.

It’s been a little tricker since I’ve had to change over to being gluten and dairy free. It’s challenging for sure. Some of these recipes I was able to adapt to make friendlier for me. Others I cook with love for my family and couldn’t skimp on the regular versions. These are some of the yummy things we whipped up this fall!

Homemade individual chicken pot pies
Gluten free butternut squash pancakes
Gluten free pretzel crusted chicken nuggets and warm butternut squash and spinach salad
Butternut squash was my favorite fall veggie this year! This kids LOVED this one skillet lasagna!
Roasted veggies with pomegranate sauce and seared pork chops with an herb chimichurri
Making Halloween treats was a blast! I love that my kids are still into this kind of stuff! Rice krispie pumpkins and chocolate bloody glass cupcakes with sugar glass.
Pizza pumpkins and mummy dogs!
My kids FAVORITE dish by far is my homemade pasta! They beg me for it!
Homemade rosemary garlic focaccia bread and homemade gluten free chicken and dumplings.
Mine and my oldest daughter, Arika’s favorite cookies: oatmeal white chocolate cranberry! Homemade gluten and dairy free pumpkin pie.
Apple, pear, and cranberry pie. Homemade snickerdoodles.
Slow cooker cinnamon applesauce. Brownie fruit pizza!

When we aren’t home cooking we love spending time as a family any way we can! We love family dates! https://joniloraine.me/2022/12/02/we-love-our-family-dates/
