Why you should love your photographer...

On your wedding day you will be spending about 85-90% of your entire day with your photographer by your side. They will be guiding you through every step of the day! You want someone there you trust, who is organized, and who you can have fun with!

When you love your photographer and get along with them really well you can let your guard down around them. You can crack silly jokes and laugh and have fun! In doing so, you end up with not only amazing and genuine photos, but you'll have an even better experience!

When you've taken the time to get to know the person photographing you, they will know and understand your specific needs and wants. They will know the best way to capture you and bring out your best smiles, laughs, and natural emotions. Plus who doesn't love making new friends?!

The Tharp Family: A Mary’s Peak Family Session

January 18, 2022

What an incredibly sweet family this was!! This Mary’s Peak Family session was definitely one to remember. Chelsea is a photographer herself and has worked as my second shooter before. She’s so much fun and amazing to work with. She has such a beautiful family! I was so excited to do a session for them!

Mary’s Peak

Mary’s Peak this time of year can get very cold. Being that it’s the highest point around, it was covered in snow!! But we didn’t know that until we got there. All of them were such troopers in the cold. Despite the super heavy fog at the top and the freezing temps, these boys were amazing! They participated, smiled, laughed, and we had so much fun! Once we got a few smalls breaks in the fog, we decided to drive down the road from the top of Mary’s Peak. We wanted to see if there was a spot on the side of the road we could use for a quick second location.

There was an open field I passed on the way in that looked beautiful and there was no snow or fog there. They trusted me and followed behind. Once we pulled up to it we knew this was going to be an epic spot! Chelsea and I both looked at each other and squealed a little bit over the killer sunset that was happening right before our eyes! It literally looked like the mountains were on FIRE! We frolicked around this open field with a mountain view until it was nearly set. Which didn’t take very long. But these ended up being the favorites of the day! I can’t wait to work with this amazing family again! I’m completely obsessed with the results of this session! Chelsea, you are a gem!
